My meaningless thoughts are showing me a meaningless world.

I recall as a child being fascinated with those glass snowglobes with tiny scenes of a village with a tiny church and tiny children making a tiny snowman and tiny skaters gliding on a tiny frozen lake. I could shake the globe and sparkles of dancing snowflakes would cascade down creating a new fresh blanket of imaginary snow. Over the years these globes became more and more ornate with a wide variety of scenes: beautiful birds or ballerinas or Charles Dickens’ reenactments.
Each scene I gave meaning to; tapping into my imagination to create the story depicted inside. Did any of it really have any true meaning? Does a village with children and skaters have any true meaning without the story I give it?
Imagine if the scene in the globe has chickens and trucks and watermelons and a wooden bench. A seemingly random collection of objects. What is their meaning then? Oh, I could probably come up with some story to give it meaning, but really it’s meaningless. I conjure up some artificial meaning with my thoughts, rendering the scene meaningless.
