These thoughts do not mean anything. They are like the things I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place].

I notice in the short time I have been awake on this day my thoughts have traveled thousands of miles – zigzagging across the plains of tasks, ideas, people, places, concerns, resolutions. Where do they come from? Where is their origin? What is their form? What are they comprised of? Where do they get their power?
Oh and how powerful they are…unless they are not! Alone, just the thought by itself truly does not mean anything. It is inert – just an energy form floating. As soon as I infuse it with meaning it attaches to me and drives my subsequent thoughts and behaviors.
Today, I intend to ‘hang out’ with my thoughts, observing them without attaching meaning to them.
