My musings on A Course in Miracles 2015 Revival: Lesson 2

Yep! Absolutely true! As I look around I find I have a story that goes with each object I see: a needlepoint pillow, crystals, candles, furniture, paintings, rocks in the planter outside, dormant plants in pots now covered with snow.
It points out all the attachments I have to these things – to the stories. And how these stories mostly hold me back – like a rope tied around my waist tugging me back as I attempt to step forward.
What if I untied the rope and set myself free? I don’t even need a knife or scissors to do that. I can simply wiggle the small knot free and step forward – unencumbered – released from the stories and their unintentional entrapment.
